Only 2 Options For Bradley Beal in 2025-26: Neither Of Them Is With The Suns
It seems that the Phoenix sun is setting on a player with the worst contract in the NBA. According to several sources, Bradley Beal's days are done with the Suns. Insider John Gambadoro of Phoenix says there are only two options for Beal this summer: A Trade, or a Buyout.
Bradley Beal will get traded or bought out by the Phoenix Suns, per @Gambo987. https://t.co/UqivPqN4Eb pic.twitter.com/OrMRuGz1ei

Bradley Beal is not going to be on this team... They will either trade him or they will buy him out … I don’t think there’s any scenario where Bradley Beal comes back and plays for the Suns.
He's the sticking point for Phoenix: Beal has a no-trade clause. Will he agree to be moved, or will the Suns simply bite that extremely expensive bullet and buy him out, eating the $110 million he is still owed over the next two years?
It's an understatement to say that Beal's time in Phoenix has not gone well. Per Cleaning the Glass, the team's Expected Win efficiency was minus-16 with Beal on the court this season. In addition, he was in the 19th percentile of all players in the league in Points per Possession while on the floor (that means 81% of players were better than him in that category).
Beal has averaged 17.6 points in his two years in Phoenix, down five points per game from his previous 11 years in Washington. He also played just 53 games in each of those two seasons with the Suns, and hasn't played more than 60 games in a season in seven years.
Now that Kevin Durant is gone, the Suns have no reason at all to keep Beal around, as they need to move on in a new direction. The Durant trade was a start. The purging of Beal's contract will be the next big (and much more difficult) move.
