LA Lakers Have Refused To Include 2 Players In Recent Trade Offers
The LA Lakers have made a few notable moves this offseason to upgrade their roster, bringing in stalwart defensive guard Marcus Smart, plus Deandre Ayton to fill their hole at center, and versatile wing Jake LaRavia.
But are they still looking to make another move? A bigger move? According to one report, they have declined trade offers in which they would have had to move off Gabe Vincent and Jarred Vanderbilt.
“The feeling around the Lakers is that the team is pretty much set as it is, and that no major trades are forthcoming until the season gets rolling. The Lakers have had opportunities to include the likes of Gabe Vincent and Jarred Vanderbilt in trade packages already, but have declined to do so,” according to Sean Deveney of heavy.com and Athlon. of Heavy.REPORT: The Los Angeles Lakers have had opportunities to include the likes of Gabe Vincent and Jarred Vanderbilt in trade packages already, but have declined to do so.

Report: Lakers not likely to make any more trades this summer
“They have not been attacking the trade market by any stretch of the imagination,” a Western Conference executive told Keith Watkins of heavy.com. “Most teams now are in a sort-of wait-and-see mode, and I would include the Lakers in that. They want to give it some time before they make a trade.”
Vincent averaged only 6.4 points per game last season in a reserve role, but he's on an expiring contract at $11.5 million.
Vanderbilt is a strong defender on the perimeter, a valuable piece to have off the bench. But the 26-year-old has had trouble staying on the floor since arriving in LA 2 1/2 seasons ago. He's played just 65 games total over the last two years.
