Breaking: Former Knicks & Raptors center Precious Achiuwa Locks In A Deal for 2025-26

Former New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors big man Precious Achiuwa has landed a deal for the new season, and he's taking his talents back to South Beach, with the Miami Heat.

It's a homecoming for Achiuwa, as he was the Heat's first-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, and played his first season there before being sent to the Raptors as part of the Kyle Lowry trade in 2021.

The high-energy Achiuwa averaged 6.6 points and 5.6 rebounds for the Knicks in 20.5 minutes per game in 57 contests last season, and was a solid contributor for the Raptors for a couple of seasons, with over nine points and six boards a night.

The 26-year-old is a strong addition for the Heat, given their lack of big man depth. He was the 20th overall selection in the 2020 Draft by Miami. In addition to the energy he brings to the floor, he also has elite switch-defending abilities, which essentially allows him to guard 'one' through 'five' across the floor.

In 320 NBA games over five seasons, the Nigerian-born Achiuwa has averaged 7.6 points and 5.7 rebounds, while providing energy and hops off the bench.
