Green is on an expiring contract this season that pays him $2.3 million. He's now got himself a guaranteed $45M. It's a terrific deal for both sides.
Green is an elite shooter and has great chemistry on screens with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard hit on 42.7% of his three-point attempts last season, and averages 42.1% over his three years in the league. He's gradually increased his contributions to the Bucks over those three seasons, and played 22.7 minutes off the bench last year, posting 7.4 ppg and 2.4 rebounds.
Green is another one of those Cinderella stories in the NBA, going from an undrafted free agent in 2022 to a massive, life-changing contract just three years later. And hitting threes over the outstretched arm of Victor Wembanyama.
Just a reminder that this Dairy Bird’s new contract (4-year, $45 million) is just 7.2% of the standard cap by AAV (11.25m/year) in ‘25-26

A small price to pay for a sniper like AJ Greenpic.twitter.com/7Sf3pXihGM https://t.co/78Xypp01A9
With Pat Connaughton having departed this offseason in a trade for the Charlotte Hornets, Green is a fantastic replacement going forward for Milwaukee. Giannis will be pleased.
AJ Green is Giannis new Pat Connaughton, he trusts him setting THAT ONE screen and to pop off the pick. Great shot AJ. pic.twitter.com/A5J1fW81GP
