Shocking FBI Arrests of Chauncey Billups & More in Betting Scandal
A stunning development in the NBA Thursday morning as the FBI has arrested Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups, Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier, and others in an illegal gambling scandal.

While Rozier had been under investigation for unusual betting activity in the past, the news of the arrest of Billups, a Hall of Famer, former five-time All-Star as a player and an NBA champion, is shocking. He has been the head coach of the Trail Blazers for the past four+ years.
Rozier's 2023 incident involved a game in which he exited early. The game had an unusual amount of prop bets on the 'under' for Rozier's performance. The NBA had conducted its own investigation and didn't come up with anything.
FBI director Kash Patel and the Eastern District of New York will reveal more information at a press conference Thursday morning on the case, which involved “numerous arrests in illegal sports betting and poker games schemes.”
