The Sacramento Kings are open for business, and six-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan is one of the notable names on the trade block. The latest intel indicates that DeRozan's hometown team might be interested in swinging a trade for him.

The LA Clippers had gone the veteran route in trying to supplement their already aging team this past offseason, bringing in the likes of Brook Lopez (37) and Bradley Beal (a very old and battered 32), among others. Even though that hasn't worked out (an understatement), they're apparently considering going back to the veteran well with DeRozan.
Clippers interested in bringing DeRozan home to LA
The Compton product, DeRozan has never played for either of his hometown teams, the Lakers or Clippers, but this could be his opportunity.
He recently called out the Kings for being in a "sh---y" situation, and his being moved seems like a very real possibility. He's averaging a 13-year low 17.9 points per game this season, while handing out a similarly decade+ low of assists (3.6) and rebounds (3.3) for a struggling Sacramento team.
As for the Clippers, they need a replacement for Beal, who (not surprisingly) is out for the season already after just six games. He hasn't played more than 53 games in an NBA campaign in five years.
Lopez, a center, has seen a significant dropoff in his production since coming over to the Clips this year, with his points per game (6.3), blocked shots (0.9) and minutes (14.4) all being slashed to less than half of their usual levels.
The Clippers are at 5-12, in 12th spot in the Western Conference. The Kings are a couple of notches below them, at 4-13, in 14th place.
