NBA Trade Rumor: Spurs & Knicks Could Become Trade Partners
The New York Knicks have been all over a number of trade rumors as we approach the deadline in a week's time. And with the breaking Giannis Antetokounmpo news today, they will likely be focusing most of their efforts on that.
But we're also hearing word of a potential deal brewing between the Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs.
According to Marc Stein in The Stein Line, "Jeremy Sochan and his representation have received permission from the San Antonio Spurs to explore the landscape for a potential new home via trade."

Sochan has been a forgotten man for the Spurs this season after three years of being a vital part of their rotation. His usage, minutes, and production have plummeted this season. He's averaging just 13 minutes played per night, and has had a multitude of DNP-CDs, not getting off the bench at all.
But the scrappy, high-energy forward can be a valuable piece on the defensive end of the floor, able to guard multiple positions with his defensive play on the perimeter.
Brett Siegel has reported that the Knicks and Spurs have been in trade talks surrounding Sochan, but for now, he says, San Antonio has not been willing to bite. The Knicks are looking for some low-cost frontcourt help.
22-year-old is on an expiring $7 million deal this season, and will be a restricted free agent in the summer.
