Pacers Shopping Bennedict Mathurin; 6 Teams With Interest
The Indiana Pacers are still trying to replace the huge void left in their lineup by the free agent departure of Myles Turner this past summer. According to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line, the Pacers want to use the pending restricted free agent Bennedict Mathurin to lure a starting-caliber center on the trade market.
The 23-year-old Mathurin is averaging a career-best 17.8 points this season, and we're hearing that six teams have expressed interest in the explosive, two-way scoring wing.
The Clippers, Hawks, Mavericks, Nets, Pelicans, and Timberwolves are among the teams to recently express trade interest in Bennedict Mathurin.

Evan Sidery reports that the following teams have Mathurin on their radar:
- Atlanta Hawks
- Brooklyn Nets
- Dallas Mavericks
- Los Angeles Clippers
- Minnesota Timberwolves
- New Orleans Pelicans
There's a report of a proposed deal from the Mavs, that would send center Daniel Gafford to the Pacers in return. Mathurin would take a ton of defensive pressure off rookie sensation Cooper Flagg, in what could be an intriguing fit in Dallas.
In New Orleans, young center Yves Missi is the proposed target that could pry Mathurin loose from Indiana. The 21-year-old 6-foot-11 Belgian big man had an excellent rookie season last year with the Pels, but has seen his minutes and production cut in his sophomore season. Rookie Derik Queen has stolen Missi's starting job in the pivot this year, so the latter is expendable.
