The full trade is as follows:
To Wizards:
- Anthony Davis
- Jaden Hardy
- D'Angelo Russell
- Dante Exum
- Khris Middleton
- AJ Johnson
- Malaki Branham
- Marvin Bagley III
- Two first-round picks
- Three second-round picks
Davis played only 29 games in over a full calendar year for the Mavs, after coming to Dallas in what many call the worst NBA trade of all-time, that sent superstar Luke Doncic to the LA Lakers.
Wizards have been evaluating their young core, deciding when they were ready to really compete. This and the Trae Young trade make it clear that next season is that time. https://t.co/ox9pQDK3Oy

That young core that the Wizards have decided is ready to compete, includes 2024 top pick Alex Sarr, versatile forward Bilal Coulibaly, and guard Kyshawn George, all of whom were named to the 2026 Rising Stars team, along with 2025 sixth overall pick Tre Johnson.
The Mavs shave about $70 million off their books with the deal. There is a strong expectation that Khris Middleton will soon hit the buyout market as the Mavs will rid themselves of his $33.3 million expiring contract.
