Milwaukee Bucks Make Huge Decision on Giannis Antetokounmpo
It's been said for quite some time that “the writing was on the wall” for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. His days in the city seemed to be numbered.
But ESPN is reporting on this Trade Deadline Day that the Bucks have decided NOT to trade Giannis right now.
The Milwaukee Bucks have indicated to teams that they are keeping Giannis Antetokounmpo through the trade deadline and will start making other trades, sources tell ESPN.

This is not to say that a deal won't go down in the summer, but for now, Giannis remains a Buck for the rest of the 2025-26 season.
The Greek Freak Sweepstakes had seemingly come down to the Miami Heat, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Golden State Warriors, before today's decision was made.
Antetokounmpo has made clear his love to Milwaukee, and his desire to stay, in an ideal world.

“I got married in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And also, legally, from the courthouse. And also, I’ve had my kids here. My father is buried here. So tell me you, when I open the passport of my kids and it says born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, my dad is buried here, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.”
Antetokounmpo is a two-time league MVP and a Finals MVP after leading the Bucks to the championship in 2021.
He's currently out, however, for another few weeks, with a right calf strain. He's averaging 28 ppg, 10 boards, and 5.6 assists in 30 games amidst an injury-plagued campaign.
