Lakers' Luka Doncic Has Suspension Rescinded by NBA
The Los Angeles Lakers' 9-game winning streak was in jeopardy. They were set to be without superstar Luka Doncic after his 16th technical foul resulted in an automatic one-game suspension.
But the NBA has stepped in and rescinded the tech, and thereby, the suspension is reversed. Doncic will not miss the Lakers' next game on Monday against the Eastern Conference-leading Detroit Pistons.

The technical foul called on Saturday was for Doncic's reaction to some alleged out-of-order trash talking by the Orlando Magic's Goga Bitadze:

“[Goga Bitadze] said he would f**k my whole family… at some point, I just can’t stand that. I got to stand up for myself.” 😳😳

Bitadze, for his part, denies the accusations.

“He said something about my mother, which is really inappropriate. We don't say that stuff... So I just said whatever he told me about my mother and said it back.”

The Lakers and Doncic have been soaring, on a nine-game winning streak, moving up into the 3-seed in the Western Conference, at 46-25.
Doncic, during that stretch, has been playing at a blistering pace, with a 60-point game, a 50-point game, and two 40+ point games to lead LA to its sizzling run. He's averaged 40 points, 8.4 boards and 7.4 assists during that epic run.
