This will be Fultz's 9th year in the NBA, after the Philadelphia 76ers made him the top overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. After a couple of injury-riddled seasons, Fultz was done in Philly, and his career never really took off to the level at which it was expected as a No. 1 overall pick. He did settle in as a decent rotational piece in the backcourt for the Orlando Magic a few years ago. He averaged 11.6 points per game and 4.8 assists for them over five seasons.
Fultz then joined the Sacramento Kings last season, but averaged only 8.8 minutes a night over 21 games.
The Raptors 905 picked him up earlier this month, and in five games with them, he averaged 9.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists.
In 255 career NBA games, Fultz, 27, holds career averages of 10.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists.
The Raptors have a packed schedule over the next 10 days, so will utilize him for some ball-handling depth in the backcourt. Fultz will have the next six games to show what he can do.
