2 Notable Names to Watch to Replace Steve Kerr as Warriors Coach
It seems just about everyone is jumping on board the 'Steve Kerr is retiring' bandwagon. The longtime Golden State Warriors head coach with 9 NBA championship rings (5 as a player, 4 as coach of the Warriors) is strongly hinting that he will be stepping down, realizing the Dubs' run as an elite team has finally run its course.
San Francisco Standard writer Tim Kawakami says that there are two pretty notable names to watch as potential replacements for Kerr:

Iguodala is a legendary and beloved Warriors player and a four-time NBA champ with the team, including winning the NBA Finals MVP honors in their first title run in 2015. He retired in 2023 and is currently the Acting Executive Director of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA).
Could Mike Brown leave the Knicks to coach the Warriors?
Despite his past connections to the franchise, Brown is an intriguing name to link to Golden State, as he currently has a head coaching gig with the New York Knicks. He's in the middle of a four-year contract with them.
"The most obvious option would be much-loved Warriors former top assistant and interim coach Mike Brown," writes Kawakami, "but he’d have to get fired by the Knicks for that to happen. Not an impossibility under owner James Dolan, but also not too likely."
Brown was the 2023 NBA Coach of the Year with the Sacramento Kings, and his ties to the Warriors have him winning two rings with them as an assistant coach in 2017 and 2018.
If the Knicks bomb out in this year's playoffs, anything is possible on the Brown front.
As for Kerr, it sounds like he'll land on his feet if he leaves the Dubs. Television networks will be clamoring for him, according to reports.
