NBA Trade Rumor: Giannis for Jaylen Brown? Insider Says It Could Happen
The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors won't be dying down anytime soon this offseason. He's been linked to an assortment of contenders, and there's been a fair bit of buzz about the Boston Celtics.
Insider Brian Windhorst says there's even the potential for a mind-blowing blockbuster of Jaylen Brown for Giannis.
Brian Windhorst says there’s potential for a Giannis-Jaylen Brown trade:

“Of course it makes sense for Milwaukee. Of course the Bucks are monitoring this very closely and would be getting ready to call Boston.”

“Of course, it makes sense for Milwaukee! Of course the Bucks are monitoring this very closely and would be getting ready to call Boston.”
For the Celtics, it all comes down to this, says Windy:
"It's very simple: In July, Jaylen Brown has the opportunity to sign a contract extension with the Celtics. If he is happy with the Celtics, it's a huge one, it can be $70 million a year... If he's happy with the Celtics, he'll sign!
"If he's not happy with the Celtics, and he's like, 'listen, I'm not sure I wanna be here,' then—TRADE! This is all gonna take care of itself (based on the potential extension)."
Brown is coming off his best season in Boston, which was spent, most of the time, being the No. 1 alpha, with Jayson Tatum out for four months. But Tatum is back, and we have to wonder if Brown would want his own team, which he thrived with most of this past year.
The tale of the tape has Antetokounmpo as a two-time MVP and one-time Finals MVP. Brown has one of the latter as well, and is two years younger than Giannis, and seemingly much healthier. But Giannis is Giannis, and it would be a tough decision for the Celtics.
