Jalen Duren Demands Trade Out Of Detroit, Picks New Destination
In a big blow to the Detroit Pistons, breakout center Jalen Duren has demanded a sign-and-trade out of the Motor City due to the lowball offer the team made him on a new contract. He's already set up a meeting with the Sacramento Kings.

As a restricted free agent, Duren is reportedly seeking $40 million per year on his next contract, per @MikeAScotto.
The Pistons were nowhere close to that in their offer. Duren plans to meet with the Kings on Tuesday after 6pm, when teams are allowed to meet with free agents.
Per league sources, the most likely scenario, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic, would see Kings multi-time All-Star center Domantas Sabonis going to Detroit in exchange for Duren.
However, a Monday evening update now adds that Duren also has a call scheduled with the LA Lakers on Tuesday.
"The key question now is how the Pistons see the situation, in light of the gap between them and Duren and the chance to get a three-time All-Star in return."
Jalen Duren had a breakout fourth year for the Pistons, averaging 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting a whopping 65.0% from the field. He was also an All-Star for the first time, and was named to the All-NBA third team as well.
But his performance suffered a significant drop-off in the playoffs, leading to some concern.
