NBA Trade Rumor: Jaylen Brown Could Pair Up With Nikola Jokic

Could Jaylen Brown team up with Nikola Jokic? According to reports, the Denver Nuggets are considering making a pitch for Jaylen Brown, as the Boston Celtics' former Finals MVP is on the trade block. 

REPORT: Denver Nuggets have discussed pursuing Boston Celtics star forward Jaylen Brown through trade, according to Marc Stein of Stein Line.

Denver has players like Peyton Watson, Christian Braun, Cameron Johnson, Spencer Jones to offer, as well as many draft assets.

“Denver is exploring the trade market to both reshape the roster around Jokić but also to create additional financial flexibility to match any offer sheets tendered to restricted free agent Peyton Watson," wrote insider Jake Fischer on The Stein Line.

"Sources say that the Nuggets have at least internally discussed whether they have the asset wherewithal to join the trade chase for Boston's Jaylen Brown."

Fellow insider Michael Scotto writes that the Nuggets are "contemplating big roster changes with the franchise currently above the second apron." 

Despite that massive payroll, Denver hasn't been able to replicate its 2023 NBA title, despite Jokic maintaining his status as one of the top two players in the league.  

The Jokic/Jamal Murray tandem has certainly been a huge headache for rival teams, one can only imagine what adding Jaylen Brown could do for the Nuggets.
