NBA Trade Rumor: LeBron James to Head Back To Miami — With Giannis?!

The Miami Heat are still the frontrunners to land Giannis Antetokounmpo in what will be the NBA's blockbuster move of the offseason. But could LeBron James also take his talents back to South Beach??

According to a report, there's a scenario where that could play out, and 'Bron & The Greek Freak could be united with Bam Adebayo in Miami.

The deal would go down like this:

Miami completes its trade with Milwaukee for Giannis, in whatever form it winds up in. They will likely have to send Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jacquez Jr., Tyler Herro and Nikola Jovic, among potentially others, depending on what other teams are involved.

LeBron could get 'decent-sized contract' from Miami

From there, the proposal would have Miami do a sign-and-trade for James, while sending Andrew Wiggins to the LA Lakers. “The Heat could accommodate a decent-sized James contract in a sign-and-trade," writes Sam Quinn of CBS.

Wiggins is eligible for an extension with one year left on his deal, so if the Lakers are interested, they could make this "a double sign-and-trade" and extend Wiggins.

“This would be a way for LeBron to get paid, be on a competitive team, and have a real shot at making the end of his career interesting," says Quinn.

The moves would leave the Heat with a starting lineup of:

Giannis Antetokounmpo
LeBron James
Bam Adebayo  Davion Mitchell Norman Powell

Not bad at all.

As for the bench? That would be something they'd have to work on, as all of their depth would be gone.

The Lakers get a versatile, two-way forward in Wiggins, who brings both perimeter defense, and floor spacing, which are two things the Luka-led Lakers could use.

Granted, Quinn only gives a return to Miami scenario for LeBron a 1% chance, but hey, it's fun to consider.
