There's a mutual option for the second season in 2029-30. He has two years remaining on his current deal, at an approximate $8M AAV, and the extension kicks in for the 2028-29 campaign.
Pritchard was eligible for a three-year, $69 million extension, but the two sides came to an agreement on the two-year deal to keep him as part of the team's foundation moving forward. The deadline for signing an extension this offseason for players with two years left on their contract was coming up next Monday.
Following winning Sixth Man of the Year in 2024-25, Pritchard started 50 of his 79 games last season for Boston, averaging career highs of 17.0 points, 5.2 assists, 3.9 rebounds per game and 32.4 minutes. He also averaged 37.7% shooting from three-point range, and has a career 39.4% mark for his career.
