Paul George Noticing He's Been Chirped More This Year

Paul George was put through the ringer last year as there was extremely high expectations for himself, Kawhi Leonard and the rest of the Los Angeles Clippers after the team acquired both superstars. Unfortunately for George, he struggled in the playoffs and let the Bubble get to him and admitted wasn't himself during the course of last season.

New year, new George. With a little taste of the 'old' George as he's hired his trainer from his days in Indiana when he was a finalist for league MVP.

Recently the Clippers took on the Phoenix Suns and there was noticeably a ton of chirping going on and most of it was directed at George. The Clippers swingman noticed and after he put up 39 points and led the Clips to a 112-107, George had this to say about the noise:

I was talking to the ref, CP jumped in and it escalated from there. Like I said, I've never had any words talking, there was never any altercation, there was always peace when I am on the floor, but for whatever reason, there's a lot of chirping and people just living in the past. Last year was last year. I'm in a new situation; I am in a different mindset. Any of that hate stuff, you got to ask them. I don't know where that's coming from.

I had a tough year last year. People think it's sweet, man. I didn't hear none of this in my 10 years in the league. But last year, people living on that last year. I gotta answer to that. ... I'm ready to compete. I'm back.

In seven games so far, George is averaging 25.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists and is shooting 51% from the field and 49% from deep. Yes...Paul George is back!
