Injury Update on Atlanta Hawks Star Trae Young

The Atlanta Hawks have announced superstar guard Trae Young avoided horrible news as he will only miss the next couple of games with an ankle injury. The play was hard to watch as Young was in serious pain. The team worried there could be a potential tear or break but it appears disaster was avoided.

Young received an MRI on Thursday which sprung the good news. With some rest, ice and elevation Young should be able to get passed the Grade 2 lateral sprain and have the discomfort subside.

The 22-year-old is a major piece of the Hawks' success and without him in the lineup the team stands no chance. Young is averaging 25.3 points, 9.6 assists and 3.9 rebounds this season as he's taken his game to new heights in his third season in the NBA.

Look for Young to try and get into the lineup for a game or two before the playoffs begin but there's also a good chance they hold him out of the lineup to gain strength and be ready for game one of the postseason.
