Video: Shaq Thinks He and Kobe Bryant Could Have Won 7 Rings

Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant are one of the best duos in NBA history and while their legacy is something special including three championships, there will always be the chatter about 'what if' they stayed together on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Shaq, of course was dealt to the Miami Heat after what appeared to be a feud between the two and Kobe carried on with the Lakers, where he spent his entire career. They both went on to win more championships but NBA fans around the world wish they stayed together.

Shaq was recently a guest on the All The Smoke podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson and had this to say about playing with Kobe:

Seven, 'cause the reason why I got traded, it wasn't about me and Kobe beef. It was that they wanted me to take less money. If I had to do it all over again, I probably would've had a meeting with the (Buss) family. 'What y'all wanna do? Want me to take less money, take a lesser role, and stay here? Or you still want me to be Shaq?. See, it's that ego. The ego still got me what I wanted. I still went to Miami. Pat (Riley) took care of me, I still won one. But I would've liked to have stayed there the rest of my career.

Here's the full interview as Shaq opens up about his time with the Lakers, business and of course his love for Kobe Bryant.

Rest easy, Bean.
