One Team Ready to Make 'Tsunami-Type' Trade Offer For Giannis Antetokounmpo

Bucks rival planning massive offer for Antetokounmpo

The Milwaukee Bucks don't really want to trade two-time MVP and Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. But if he ultimately decides it's time to move on, they'll have to start listening to offers. Any trade of the Greek Freak will be a catastrophic event for Milwaukee, which makes the latest report of a "tsunami-type offer" from a Bucks rival make a whole lot of sense.

According to insider Gery Woelfel, the New York Knicks are preparing to make that earth-shattering offer to the Bucks.

The Knicks will be a very busy team this summer, with or without Giannis, as they're now on the hunt for a new head coach as well. The latest reports have them interested in current Dallas Mavericks bench boss Jason Kidd.   Incidentally, Kidd was Giannis's second coach in Milwaukee, and in their 3 1/2 years together, Kidd helped turn the 'young buck' into an All-Star, on his way to superstar status.

The Knicks' "tsunami-like" offer would have to include at least two of their star players, likely from amongst the group of  Karl-Anthony TownsOG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges. New York doesn't have a ton of draft capital after their trades last year to acquire Towns & Bridges, so they'd likely have to bring a third team into the deal, one with some first-round assets to throw into the fray.

We recently brought you an update on another expected aggressive pursuer of Giannis, a team that has moved up significantly in the betting odds to land the Greek Freak.
