NBA Rumors: Is Jaylen Brown Available?

The Boston Celtics have been off to a slow start this season, sitting in 9th place in the ever-competitive Eastern conference with a record of 14-14 which has led to much speculation about the futures of key members of the Celtics organization. On the latest episode of the HoopsHype podcast, Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer went into more detail in regards to the rumblings coming out of Boston.

“I’ve never heard Jaylen Brown’s name being brought up more frequently than I have in the last two weeks. It got to the point where I contacted some people close to the situation around those two players, and it’s definitely something that’s being discussed.

From everything I’ve heard by all accounts, the Celtics front office doesn’t have any designs on breaking up that pairing. I quoted an assistant general manager in my story when he called Boston, they say Jaylen and Jayson are their only untouchables. They’re the top two guys, and they’re building around those two dudes.”

It would be unwise for Boston to punt on either of the former 3rd overall picks and Celtics fans will likely be happy to hear that the team intends to build around their two young studs.

The Celtics don’t play again until Friday when they welcome Stephen Curry and the league-leading Golden State Warriors to town which will be a good early test for a young roster that appears to be struggling to find an identity. Watch below for highlights of the Celtics win over the NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks which included a 42 point night from Tatum.
