NBA Rumors: De'Aaron Fox Remains "Gettable" At Trade Deadline

The Sacramento Kings made a strong plea last week, to anyone who'd listen, that they are looking to "build around" De'Aaron Fox and Tyrese Halibruton, and even told Fox that he would not be traded. There is apparently some serious doubt around NBA executives that this is indeed the case.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein:

There is a sense among some rival executives that Fox remains gettable.

Fox's name has already been attached to numerous potential deals, including to the Philadelphia 76ers for Ben Simmons, and to the Indiana Pacers for Domantas Sabonis. Other teams are no doubt stalking to try to acquire Fox.

We've been hearing for some time now that the Kings will be one of the big movers and shakers come the trade deadline, so this new report is no surprise.

Three other players that Stein notes are surely available are Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes and Marvin Bagley III. It surfaced today that Hield is once again being pursued by the Los Angeles Lakers, after they left Hield and the Kings at the alter in the offseason to go after Westbrook instead.

Sacramento continues to sink further and further down the standings in the Western Conference, now in 13th spot after five straight losses, including back-to-back drubbings this week by a combined 70 points.
