NBA Rumors: Nets To Trade 2 Players

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Brooklyn Nets could end up trading Bruce Brown and Jevon Carter by the deadline.

Both Brown and Carter have seen their playing time decrease as the season has continued to pass by. With the Nets looking to go on a true run, they could use them as trade bait to make upgrades to their current roster. At this time, they have a 29-18 record and are in third place in the Eastern Conference.

Out of the pair, one could argue that Brown would bring in a nicer return. In 38 games this season, he has averaged 6.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. Overall, he's looked pretty solid when on the court but has seen his role on the team get lowered. There may be other teams out there who would utilize him a bit more than Brooklyn.

Carter could be a nice depth player for another team. In 36 games this season, he has averaged 2.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.9 assists. Over the last month, he has been given very little playing time and even has been sat for entire contests. With this, he surely would welcome a move to another franchise if they give him more opportunities to play.

Alas, it seems that changes are coming for the Nets. It will be interesting to see where these two end up finishing the year.
