NBA Rumors: Timberwolves Shopping 3 Players

According to John Krawczynski of The Athletic, the Minnesota Timberwolves could trade Malik Beasley, Josh Okogie, and Naz Reid by the deadline.

The Timberwolves are in a particularly interesting spot, as they sport a 28-25 record and are seventh in the Western Conference. They are in a decent spot in the standings, but when looking at their current roster, it makes sense that they are open to making some changes. They may not be set to make monstrous splashes but instead could be looking to retool.

Beasley's name has come in the rumor mill, so it feels possible that the 25-year-old could be moved. In 52 games this season, he is averaging 12.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. He's seen his playing time and production go down this season, so perhaps the shooting guard would be open to a change of scenery.

Okogie, a 2018 first-round pick, has also been utilized less this season by the Timberwolves. In 32 games he has averaged 12.7 minutes played, 2.7 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.6 assists. The 23-year-old could benefit from going to a team that would play him a bit more frequently.

There could be a decent chunk of interest around the league for Reid. In 49 games this season, he has averaged 8.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 0.9 assists. He could make for a decent role player elsewhere and give a team more depth at center.
