Joel Embiid Calls Out JJ Redick On His 'Top 3 Players In The World' List

Former NBA player JJ Redick gets a lot of attention for his The Old Man and the Three podcast, and the All-Star guests that often appear. Philadelphia 76ers MVP candidate Joel Embiid was his guest on today's pod, discussing a variety of issues.

But when it came to Redick trying to give him credit for being "one of the 3 best players in the world right now" along with Kevin Durant, Embiid had to challenge him on who's the third...

When Redick replied that Nikola Jokic is in that "top 3" group, Embiid rightfully asked, "Wait, wait, wait...Where's Giannis?" and he shot Redick an exasperated sigh when JJ replied that Giannis was "in the next group."

"That's the Finals MVP! Two-time MVP... That's crazy... Wow!" laughed Embiid. "It doesn't make sense!"

The two-time NBA MVP (2019 and 2020) and defending 2021 World Champion Giannis Antetokounmpo not one of the best three players in the world? The Process certainly has a point to question that.

And all Redick could do was fumble around with his answer, something to the effect of "it's too hard, there's too many good players." Embiid trolling Redick on his own show. That's why he calls himself Joel "Troel" Embiid on his own Twitter bio.
