"It's Surreal": Steph Curry Admits To "Curiosity" About Teaming Up With LeBron James

LeBron James raised some eyebrows earlier this week when he said the one player in the NBA he'd love to play with is Steph Curry. Though the Golden State Warriors superstar originally didn't give it much credence, he's now opening up a bit about it.

Speaking with his current teammate Draymond Green on his podcast, Curry said "obviously, there's a curiosity. Like, what would that look like?"

"It's surreal because I will never be so far removed from the time I was playing in a Sweet 16 game, and this dude was in his 4th or 5th year in the league, and he's coming to my game and cheering... even though he was where he was at in his career—a future superstar, Hall of Famer, potentially greatest of all time. The fact that we're 13 years removed and he's saying that is still crazy."

The 34-year-old Curry then talked about the signed jersey LeBron gave him when he was back in college, with the inscription "To the Best Player in North Carolina."

As for whether it's realistic for the two of them to team up, Curry admitted "There's a realism... You can never let your mind go from what is your situation... It's fantasy, it's wild, but there's a respect and an appreciation... But if this was 2K, that would be pretty lethal!"

Right now, the 2-time MVP and 8-time All-Star has something else to keep his mind on—getting back on the court and trying to lead his Warriors back to the Finals for the first time since 2019.
