"That Was Embarrassing For Basketball!" Barkley Blasts Timberwolves

A 26-point lead wasn't enough for the Minnesota Timberwolves, as the Memphis Grizzlies came storming back to take Game 3 of their series, 104-95. And to TNT commentator, and basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, that display by the T-Wolves was "embarrassing for basketball".

He began his rant by targeting T-Wolves team leader Karl Anthony-Towns and his postgame comments. 
"This has got to be one of the dumbest teams. All that talent and they're dumber than rocks," continued Sir Charles. "One thing I can't stand is stupidity on the basketball court."

But Barkley also qualified his statements about the players, by taking special exception to head coach Chris Finch and his staff. 'They got no brains whatsoever... He let a 21-0 run in a playoff game and did not call a time-out. They scored 21 straight points and this dude did not call a single time out. It's just embarrassing!"

"I don't believe that there's dumb kids; I think they just have bad parents. These Timberwolves are dumb because their coaches are dumb."

Finch didn't help matters by trying to explain why he didn't call a timeout during that 21-0 run by the Grizzlies.

"Burned a lot early, so I was hoping that we would just be able to kind of get through to the fourth a little deeper beforehand," said Finch.

Charles and crew will be watching to see if the T-Wolves can smarten up in time for Game 4 this weekend.
