NBA Rumors: Gallinari Has Interest From Two Contenders

Forward Danilo Gallinari is likely going to bed tonight as a former Atlanta Hawk. There are 16 million reasons why, according to NBA salary cap expert Keith Smith.

The 6'10" three-point sniper's contract becomes fully guaranteed at $21.45M if the Hawks don't waive him by 5:00pm ET. His deal is only partially guaranteed for $5M until then.

In addition, there are two teams that are said to be interested in acquiring Gallo, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report. The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat are being linked to the forward—the Heat, in particular, as a replacement for PJ Tucker if they lose him, as is now expected.

There's even another possibility: Fischer reports that the Hawks are considering increasing Gallinari's partial guarantee to $10M, which would bring it into salary-matching territory for the proposed Dejounte Murray trade the Hawks and Spurs are rumored to be very close to completing.
