NBA Rumors: 3 Teams Showing Interest In Bones Hyland

He hasn't gotten off the bench for four straight games now; it's apparent that Bones Hyland's days in Denver are nearing an end. Since word came out late last month that the 22-year-old was on the trade block, he's seen his playing time dwindle to literally nothing, and he's been said to have "checked out."

Now, according to a report by Mike Singer in the Denver Post, three teams appear to be suitors for Hyland.

Multiple league sources told Singer that the Toronto Raptors, New Orleans Pelicans and Minnesota Timberwolves had all registered some level of interest in Hyland.

The Nuggets are looking for a two-way rotation player and draft compensation, or a first-round pick in return.

Coach Michael Malone had spoken of his dissatisfaction with Hyland's defense, and there's been reported friction between the 2nd-year player and the coaching staff.

6'7" rookie Christian Braun has stepped in to take up most of Hyland's minutes of late, and he's a favorite of Malone and his staff.

Hyland is averaging 12.1 points and 3.0 assists, while shooting 37.8% from behind the three-point line.
