NBA Rumors: Miami Heat Likely To Move On From Big Time Veteran This Off-Season

The Miami Heat were just three wins away from a shock NBA Championship run in 2022-23, and they managed to go on such a fun run due to their underrated names like Max Strus, Caleb Martin and Gabe Vincent, but it was the effect of veterans Kyle Lowry and Kevin Love that made them so dangerous.

Despite his impressive contributions in the playoffs, Lowry was largely a disappointment for Miami, and now they appear ready to trade him away, and if they're unable to find a trade partner, they are reportedly willing to move on and waive him.

In 55 games this past season, Lowry averaged just 11.2 PPG, his lowest since back in 2012-13, his first season with the Toronto Raptors, and at 37-years of age, it's clear he cannot be a major contributor all season long, so it makes sense if the Heat look to move on, especially with Damian Lillard firmly in their sights.
