Cleveland Cavaliers Veteran Guard Ricky Rubio Steps Away From Basketball

Ricky Rubio has been one of the most consistent players in the NBA since his much touted arrival over a decade ago, but at 32-years of age, he's now taking a break for the first time in his 18-year professional career.

The reason behind this is that Rubio wants to step away to focus on his mental health, and given how much pressure and stress gets put on these players, it's certainly an understandable move, with all of his teammates both internationally and in the NBA fully supporting his move.

Rubio has been a professional since 2005 when he was just 14-years of age, so 18 years in the spotlight is certainly a long time, and now we hope he gets better and can find his way back to the NBA at some point feeling healthier, mentally and physically.
