Draymond Green To Be Suspended Again After Violent Punch

Here we go again. Not too long after his last five-game suspension for choking Rudy Gobert, Draymond Green is now looking at another lengthy suspension after a full wind-up punch to Jusuf Nurkic in the head Tuesday night.

Using the repeat-offender criteria, there's no doubt that Green's suspension this time will be a minimum five games, but it's reasonable to suggest it could be significantly more.

Green received a flagrant 2 and was ejected from the game, his third ejection of the season in just 23 games.

As for Nurkic, who hit the deck after Green's fist to the side of his head, he feels that "that brother needs help.":

"What's going on with him, I don't know. Personally, I feel like that brother needs help. I'm just glad he didn't choke me. It has nothing to do with basketball, man... He's out there swinging... Hopefully, whatever he got in his life, he'll get better."

Green has had so many incidents of this nature, it's hard to keep track. From violently kicking Steven Adams in the groin in 2016, to viciously punching his own teammate Jordan Poole in the face, knocking him out in practice in 2022, to choking Gobert last month, and many others in between, the NBA may choose to really bring the hammer down this time.
