Warriors Rumors: Klay Thompson On Trade Block For The Right Price

Could Klay Thompson be dealt by the Warriors within the next few weeks? That’s the suggestion that’s out there, as insider Shams Charania has stated that, "The mindset is Golden State is that everyone Steph Curry is on the table."

To be clear, neither Klay Thompson nor Draymond Green are named 'Steph Curry', which would make them available. The Warriors seem to have hit a brick wall in their extension negotiations with Thompson, who becomes an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.  It all seems to be wearing on the 34-year-old.

"I'll say it: I think Klay Thompson and Draymond Green both have hurt the Warriors' culture. Klay Thompson has been nothing but angry, pretty much from the beginning of last year's struggles," said Warriors reporter John Dickinson.

"I think now everybody’s accepted, including maybe Klay, that he's not (what he used to be)... He's turned into the angry dude. It's just a bad energy. He's not been able to accept the player that he's become."

The Warriors have been getting hammered of late, and the bitterness from Klay is obvious:

One rumor making the rounds is a Klay for Zach LaVine swap with the Chicago Bulls. Are the Warriors ready to take on that massive LaVine contract, to get out from under the current stalled negotiations on Klay's next potential deal?

This is a situation worth following over the next four weeks leading up to the Feb. 8th trade deadline.
