Boston Celtics Not Done Dealing Yet
The Boston Celtics have been the team making the most waves thus far this offseason, having already dealt two huge pieces from their 2024 championship team in Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis.
But apparently, according to insider Jake Fischer on his Bleacher Report Insider Scoops piece, the Celtics are not done dealing yet.
While telling us that the team, he believes, still wants to be competitive and a playoff contender this coming season, even with Jayson Tatum out for the year with his Achilles tear and the aforementioned players out the door, they apparently still have some potential moves to make on the trade market.
To start, one of the big pieces obtained in the Holiday trade with the Portland Trail Blazers, could potentially be flipped:
Still some unresolved conversations about whether or not Anfernee Simons will stick around in Boston... (He) is not guaranteed to be part of that situation as of my latest understanding.
And a lot, a lot, a lot of gossip...that Utah was among several teams to be going after Jaylen Brown, and that a lot of teams were coming after Derrick White.
But barring "getting absolutely getting blown out of the water" on an offer, the Celtics don't have any plans to trade either of those two.
The team already got itself under the second apron—their major goal—by shipping out a total of $63 million in salaries in Holiday and Porzingis.
In addition, Sam Hauser seems to be in demand, and we've been hearing that he has a "robust" trade market.
All eyes will remain on Boston this summer.
