NBA Rumors: Raptors Have Huge 3-Player Offer On Table for Kevin Durant

The Kevin Durant Sweepstakes continues to percolate along, as the Phoenix Suns are trying their hardest to trade him. Problem is, because the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat all know that they are the preferred destinations of KD's, they don't have to break the bank in any offer.

So leave it to Masai Ujiri and his ever-present penchant for trying to pounce on the next available superstar (a la Kawhi Leonard). According to plugged-in Phoenix insider John Gambadoro, the Toronto Raptors have a massive offer currently on the table for Durant:

If this offer is true, the Raptors would be willing to sacrifice THREE starters and the No. 9 overall pick in the 2025 Draft for the 37-year-old oft-injured Durant. Both starters they got from the New York Knicks in the OG Anunoby trade, RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, are listed in this reported offer, as is starting center Jakob Poeltl.

That would leave Toronto with a starting lineup of Scottie Barnes, Durant, Gradey Dick... and... the rest is anybody's guess. They'd be in need of a starting point guard, and another legit starting forward.

The Raptors finished 11th in the East this past season, nine full games back of the Play-In. It's hard to imagine how a gutted roster plus Durant and Barnes could make any real noise next year.

The last time Toronto made a big swing for the fences like that was when they brought in Kawhi, and he helped lead them to the championship in 2019. But that Raptors team was title-ready, with Kyle Lowry, Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, Serge Ibaka, Norm Powell, and on and on. This 2025 version is nothing like that.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are still a team that's intent on convincing KD to join Anthony Edwards in the Twin Cities, but so far, Durant hasn't warmed up to heading to Minny. And besides, insider Marc Spears of ESPN is reporting that Ant is simply not pushing for a Durant trade.
