NBA Free Agency: 2 Western Contenders in Pursuit of Al Horford from Celtics

Al Horford continues to defy Father Time, and the 39-year-old seems to have a robust market in free agency, with two notable contenders in the Western Conference appearing to be the top pursuers.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors both reportedly have interest in signing Horford, per Sam Amick of The Athletic, calling him a "serious option" for both teams.

The Boston Celtics would like to keep the veteran big man, but as he is expected to be able to command the full mid-level exception of $14.1 million, something the Celts likely aren't able to offer, with their luxury tax issues.

Horford started 42 of his 60 games this past season, and averaged 9.0 points and 6.2 boards, while shooting 36.3% from long distance.
