NBA Free Agency: 4 Teams Still in the Hunt for Al Horford
Al Horford is one of the prized veteran big men still available on the free agent market, and all signs point to him leaving the Boston Celtics.
According to ESPN's Marc Spears, there are four teams competing to sign the 39-year-old five-time All-Star.
The Warriors expected Al Horford to sign last week, but he never did as he continues to explore other options, per @MarcJSpears.

Golden State Warriors
Spears says the Warriors actually expected Horford to sign last week, but he's still exploring other options first before making his decision. The Dubs are looking for another center after Kevon Looney flew the coop in free agency after 10 years and three titles with Golden State.
Spears says that Horford's 10-year-old son might be able to talk the veteran big man into going to Golden State, so that they could hang around with Steph Curry.
LA Lakers
The Lakers got their legit starting center in Deandre Ayton this summer, but they are still interested in finding more defense and filling out their frontcourt further with a veteran and a champion like Horford.
Milwaukee Bucks
While the Bucks lost former NBA All-Defensive Team center Brook Lopez, they made a big splash in free agency, bringing in Myles Turner and his shot-blocking skills (among other things) from Indiana. Adding another grizzled veteran who knows how win in Horford would be a big coup, and give Milwaukee a defensive frontline that would be unmatched.
Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks have Onyeka Okongwu and Kristaps Porzingis up front, but adding one more veteran, and a teammate of Porzingis on the 2024 champion Celtics, would give them one of the top frontcourts in the conference.
Spears does add that retirement is still a potential choice for Horford as well, though his son might be able to talk him out of it.
