Boucher is "expected to have a significant role" in the Celtics frontcourt, writes Charania.
The 32-year-old center/power forward with the rangy reach holds the Raptors franchise records for points, rebounds, blocked shots and threes (among other things) off the bench.

His length, shooting and experience will come in handy for a Celtics team that lost Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford this offseason. Boston makes this trade in conjunction with moving out Georges Niang in another trade, as they continue to negotiate their position under the second apron.
Boucher averaged 10 points per game this past year with the Raptors, with 4.5 rebounds in 17 minutes a night. On a per-36-minute basis in his eight-year career, he averages 18 points, 10.4 boards and 1.9 blocks.
