Breaking: Giannis Antetokounmpo Has NOT Decided To Stay in Milwaukee

So you all thought that the Giannis Antetokounmpo rumors has died down? That he was set to stay in Milwaukee? Well, guess again.

Insider Shams Charania has stirred things up on Monday, saying that Giannis has NOT made a decision either way on whether to stay with the Bucks or to seek another team with which to chase another ring.

"As of August 4th, sources tell me there's still nothing set in stone about whether Giannis Antetokounmpo will stay in Milwaukee or whether he will be leaving.

"He's continuing to evaluate his future... Is it in Milwaukee or is it elsewhere... The constant question he has is, 'Can I win it with this roster?'

“There are multiple teams that I know of that are literally waiting right now on what decision Giannis Antetokounmpo makes."

This jibes with a report we brought you a few weeks back, when, in an interview, Giannis didn't seem so sure that he'd be staying in Milwaukee... He said 'probably,' but it wasn't very convincing, if you listen to it.

There will be a long list of teams, as Charania notes, lining up to get a crack at trading for the Greek Freak, if he decides he wants out, starting with the Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks and Toronto Raptors.

Antetokounmpo is one of the greatest players in league history, a two-time NBA MVP, and a Finals MVP with a championship ring with the Bucks from 2021. Last season, he averaged 30.4 points per game, 11.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists. He has finished no lower than fourth in the balloting for MVP in each of the last seven seasons.
