NBA Signing: Landry Shamet Signs Free Agent Deal for 2025-26
After spending 50 games with the New York Knicks last season, his 6th NBA team in eight years in the league, guard Landry Shamet has agreed to a free agent deal to stay with the Knicks on a new one-year deal.

This move rounds out the Knicks full roster for the coming season, and puts an end to their lukewarm Ben Simmons pursuit.
Shamet appeared in 50 games for the Knicks, and averaged 15.2 minutes a night in those contests.
Former head coach Tom Thibodeau benched the defensive-minded shooting guard in the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals, before re-inserting Shamet for the rest of the series. He went on to lead the Knicks in the final four games in plus/minus rating.
Shamet averaged just 5.7 points for the Knicks last season, but he did in on 39.7% shooting from three-point land. To go along with his strong defense, Shamet proved to be a fine 3-and-D option off the bench for New York. He's been doing much the same throughout his previous seven years in the Association, playing also for the Phoenix Suns, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Clippers.
He has a career 38.5% mark from beyond the arc, averaging 21 minutes a night.
