Warriors Pull Bizarre Roster Move With Seth Curry

The Golden State Warriors recently signed free agent Seth Curry to join his brother Steph for the first time together in their careers. But less than a week before the season opener, they have WAIVED the younger Curry. According to reports, however, the brothers will be reunited soon enough.

The waiving of Curry was just a necessary salary cap move in advance of the start of the season this coming week. The Warriors still want Seth, but they're hard-capped at the second apron, so the move is merely procedural. They plan to bring him back in November when things are more copacetic with the roster and salary cap.

In an 11-year career, the 35-year-old Seth Curry averages 10.0 points per contest on 43.3% three-point shooting.

He led the league in long-range bombing last season, firing at a 45.6% mark in 68 games with the Charlotte Hornets. Like brother, like brother, you might say.

Unlike Steph, however, who has spent his entire career with the Warriors, Seth will be joining his 10th team in the Association in his 11-year career, when Golden State brings him back into the fold.
