Breaking: Significant Update from Mavericks on Anthony Davis

Let the trade talks resume! Anthony Davis has gotten a second opinion on his hand ligament injury on Tuesday afternoon, and contrary to the reports six hours earlier, he will NOT be undergoing surgery.

Shams Charania, who broke both the "he will have" and "he won't have" stories within hours of each other, says that Davis will be re-evaluated in six weeks.

The insider goes on to note that "the Mavericks have had renewed trade talks around Davis with multiple interested teams and those conversations are continuing." He says that the Mavs are "prioritizing the big-picture outlook around Cooper Flagg."

But with Davis out until at least well after the trade deadline, only three weeks away, and with his extensive (never-ending) injury history, what team would be willing to risk giving up a big package for AD?

The list of injuries Davis has incurred, just since arriving in Dallas one year ago, is startling, and covers nearly every part of his body. The previous few seasons were not much better.

More on the latest Davis trade rumors in the days to come.
