Full Court Pass reports Haynes saying that AD is expected to be moved prior to the trade deadline. That is just five weeks away, on February 5th.
The Mavs sit at 12-22 with the league's worst net rating.
Davis came to Big D in the controversial blockbuster almost a year ago that sent superstar Luka Doncic to the LA Lakers, and shook up the basketball world.
Anthony Davis has played only 33% of games since being traded to Mavericks
Yes, he has averaged 20.5 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots for Dallas this season, but he's played in just 16 of 34 games, after participating just nine times over 2 1/2 months after they traded for him last season. Overall, he's suited up in just 25 of 75 potential games since he's come to the Mavs, and his constant difficulties in staying on the court have marred most of his 14-year career.
The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly the top suitor for Davis, and we had a look at a proposed 5-team blockbuster this week that could get him there.
Additionally, the Golden State Warriors are another team with interest in AD.
We're sure to hear plenty more rumors before this gets settled, but per the latest update, it sounds like Davis will be wearing a new uniform by the time he wakes up on February 7th.
