NBA Trade Rumors: 4 Players Top Milwaukee Bucks' Trade Target List

The Milwaukee Bucks haven't given up on trying to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo just yet. The latest report has them targeting a number of notable players as "impactful" upgrades that could turn around their awful season, and eventually convince Antetokounmpo to stay in Milwaukee.

Sam Amick writes in The Athletic that "The Kings’ LaVine is a confirmed target, as is — according to ESPN — Sacramento’s Malik Monk and Portland’s Jerami Grant. League sources say Brooklyn’s Michael Porter Jr. is a name worth watching as well."

Zach LaVine

We've talked about the LaVine rumors and wondered if he's really the "impact" player that will help move the needle. But Dan Favale of Bleacher Report writes that "getting him without coughing up a first (round pick) or Myles Turner is a buy-low swing worth discussion." He also adds that if LaVine is "willing to decline his 2026-27 player option and sign a long-term deal" at a lower AAV, it could be worth considering.

Michael Porter Jr.

MPJ seems like one of the most sought-after trade pieces as the deadline approaches in just over a month. And noted insiders Sam Amick of The Athletic and Jake Fischer of The Stein Line have both written that the Bucks are all-in on Porter Jr.  Brew Hoop writes that "the offensive skillset Michael brings seems like a clean fit with Milwaukee at a position of desperate need... (He) might be the best fit the Bucks can find on the trade market among names actually rumored to be available."

Jerami Grant

Brett Siegel of Clutch Points suggests a proposed two-fer deal with the Portlant Trail Blazers for the Bucks, to land not one, but two valued additions:

“Some believe the Bucks, who already have a working relationship with Portland dating back to their Damian Lillard trade, have a path to landing both Grant and Robert Williams III as impactful trade deadline additions to improve the team on both ends of the floor,” Siegel wrote.

And Jalon Dixon of heavy.com writes that "Grant would immediately address one of Milwaukee’s most glaring weaknesses: reliable scoring and two-way stability on the wing."

Malik Monk

Back to Sacramento for yet another wing target, Monk is another name that the Bucks have been tied to. He was the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year just two years ago, and despite waning minutes and shots with the Kings this season, Monk can still fire it from long range, as he's hitting on over 40% of his threes.
