LeBron Camp Had 'Very Real' Talks About Another Cavaliers Reunion

Could LeBron James be heading back home to finish his career in the NBA? According to a report, there were "very real" discussions with the Cleveland Cavaliers (and a select few other teams) about LeBron's next destination.

Multiple league sources tell me that Rich Paul’s conversations with the Mavs, Clippers, Warriors and Cavs this summer 'were very real.'

James is a hometown hero in Cleveland. The Akron-born superstar began his career there for seven seasons, before a four-year holiday in Miami, followed by a triumphant return to his roots back in Cleveland. He took the Cavs to their first-ever NBA championship in 2016.

"Those were... very, very true in real-time conversations (in the summer)... Now, I wonder, if there's a farewell tour, does he take less money to come to Cleveland. And when? Because I do think that they have some good pieces on that team," added Robinson.

But Scoop B cautions that LeBron has not yet made up his mind about his future. The 41-year-old is in his 23rd NBA season in a legendary career. And while he has realized one of his dreams of playing in the league with his son Bronny, there's another James offspring on the way. And that could be just a year away, as Bryce James, 18, is projected as a potential prospect for the 2026 NBA Draft.

"I know that LeBron says he's not waiting for Bryce (before retiring), I don't believe him... I feel like when (!) he comes to Cleveland, he'd have more autonomy to get him here."

Notice the "when", not "if" that Scoop used to describe a potential third go-round for LeBron with the Cavs.
