3 Teams Linked To Jaylen Brown Trade With Celtics
The Jaylen Brown trade rumors have taken another twist, as we've learned that there are three teams who have "serious" interest in landing the Boston Celtics All-Star and former Finals MVP.
Of course, for now, there's no indication that the Celtics are shopping him, or that he definitively wants out.
But there has been some buzz recently (from his good buddy Tracy McGrady) that Brown has harbored some frustration with the Celtics organization this season.
Insider Marc Stein wrote on The Stein Line that the three teams being involved all tie into the ramifications of a potential Giannis Antetokounmpo trade.
There is a belief in some corners of the league that Atlanta, Houston, and Portland all have legitimate trade interest in Jaylen Brown. Which is something to file away if you’re looking for participants that might be interested in joining an eventual multi-team Antetokounmpo trade construction.
The Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets both feel that they are one big move away from taking the step into being serious contenders in their respective conferences.
As for the Rockets, Kevin Durant's name could enter the blockbuster discussions as well, notes NBA analyst Jake Weinbach.
The Rockets have legitimate trade interest in Jaylen Brown, per @TheSteinLine.

Houston can build an offer centered around Kevin Durant or Alperen Sengun with future first-round picks and additional assets attached. https://t.co/xJDzOCn7p4

As for the Hawks, Brown has said that he would be open to playing for his hometown team in Atlanta at some point in the future.
The Hawks have been heavily linked to Jaylen Brown in the past and would be the team to ‘keep an eye on’ if Boston departs Brown for Giannis in a deal.

Brown also alluded to last summer that he would be open to playing for his hometown team in the future.

Could that future be now?
The Trail Blazers have a pipeline to Boston from recent trades, with Jrue Holiday coming their way last offseason when the Celtics were looking to offload salary, and acquiring Robert Williams in a 2023 trade from Boston.
We could be in for a wild NBA summer on the trade front.
