Kawhi Leonard Admits The Clippers Need to Make Changes

The Los Angeles Clippers took on the Golden State Warriors on Friday night and blew a 22 point lead to take the loss. Their defense was anything but in the third quarter and it was obvious the team was not on the same page. After the game Clippers star Kawhi Leonard admitted, the team needs to make some changes.

Here's a crazy stat for you, ever since the NBA restarted in the Bubble, the Clippers have lost an NBA-high eight games when leading by at least 15 points, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.

Kawhi Leonard met with the media after the game and had this to say about his team:

We just have to change, pretty much. We've got to change it. We've got to get better. I'm not about to tell you what we're doing in the locker room. It's locker room talk. Our third quarter was terrible as far as defense. Them able to get easy looks, coming down just laying up the ball with no one there. Steph Curry did a few times. In that third quarter, just guys coming down and getting either open looks or just walking to the basket and laying up the ball.

The Clippers don't have an elite shot blocker to protect the rim, their defensive-minded point-guard Patrick Beverly is atop the league's list of taking fouls and he's averaging 0.8 steals per game. Leonard's right, the team needs to change and in some real big ways.
