NBA Rumors: OG Anunoby Sought By Western Conference Contender

The Toronto Raptors are visiting the Phoenix Suns Monday night as they continue their seven-game road trip that could determine the team's fate at the trade deadline. Perhaps, while they're at Footprint Center, highly sought after Raptors wing OG Anunoby should have a look around the facility. The Suns are said to be a prime suitor of the 25-year-old defensive demon.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Suns are one of the teams interested in OG—IF the Raptors decide to sell. Today, we learned that they informed teams about just when that decision would be made.

Anunoby would be a perfect fit for this Suns team, more than adequately filling the Jae Crowder spot that's been a void for them all season. OG is younger, and a better scorer and defender. Anunoby leads the NBA in steals and deflections this season.

The only part of the Crowder skill set that he doesn't bring is the, uh.. vocal part. Anunoby is as quiet a player as they come. Yes, the exact opposite of Crowder.

The Raptors are said to be maintaining an extremely high price for any Anunoby trade, featuring multiple first-round picks. The New York Knicks are said to have already shown a willingness to do that sort of deal, and the Suns have plenty of firsts at their disposal as well.
